The finishing stage of the preparation for the International Touristic Forum «Karelia – 2010. Tourism and modernisation of Russian economy» has started. The Forum, research and practice conference «The role of tourism in modernisation of the economy of Russian regions » and the X specialized exhibition «Touristic Karelia-2010» are included in the official programme of the celebration of the 90^th Anniversary of the Republic of Karelia.

On 22 March the Head of the Republic of Karelia Sergey L. Katanandov had meeting in Moscow with the Chief of the Central Office of the Government of the Russian Federation Sergey Sobyanin and handed him the invitation for the celebration of the 90^th Anniversary of the Republic of Karelia for the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir V. Putin.

The Head of the Republic of Karelia invited the following persons to participate in the International Touristic Forum “Karelia-2010”. Tourism and modernisation of Russian economy”:

S. Shpilko	President of Russian Touristic Industry Union

The offers to take part in the events of the International Touristic Forum are also sent to the Heads of all the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
